Our previous Round Rock Tigers board member and dear friend, Lisa Hendershot, was diagnosed with Stage IV Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer, it’s genetic related and recently spread to her liver and spine. Unfortunately, the cancer is non-curable, but in the words of Lisa “I will fight for the best quality of life and keep it moving”.
Lisa and Dan Hendershot recently relocated from Texas to Wisconsin for military related purposes. However, they both generously served and supported the Round Rock Youth Football & Cheer program by donating their time and resources to improve the league. Together they have two small children, Logan and Jax, they both played tackle football last year!
The best ways to support against the fight of cancer is through prayers and donations! Therefore, we’re asking each tiger family to donate a gift card to the Hendershot family, any amount is accepted and appreciated! We will collect gift cards during the Agility & Speed Clinic this upcoming Saturday July 30 from 8:30-10:30 am. If you don’t plan to attend the clinic, please drop off your gift card and sign your family’s name on the encouragement card that will be sent to Lisa.
Other ways to help to the Hendershot family is by purchasing items to go towards a care package that RRYFC will be sending to Lisa on August 12, 2022. If you donate items towards the care package, please purchase light weight items, as we will be shipping it to Wisconsin.
Your donation will go toward Lisa’s treatment, along with the cost of housing and food.
Thank you in advance for your contribution! Together we can make a difference and a huge impact!
